Successful Parents Start Their Day With These 10 Best Way

  1. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier – This way, you don’t have to jump out of bed and rush through your morning. You can begin your morning by lying in bed, slowly waking up. Mentally go through what you’re going to wear, what you’re going to do, what you’re going to have for breakfast. It’s just as important to prepare yourself mentally as physically for your day. These few minutes in bed, before anyone else is up, are all yours.
  2. Check-in – When you wake up in the morning, take a few minutes to check-in (go within). Take a few deep breaths and find something that you’re grateful for (your children, partner, your health, the bed you’re in). Take this time to be thankful for all that you have in your life instead of wasting your energy on thinking about what you don’t have.
  3. Deep breaths –  Instead of pouncing straight out of bed spend 5 to 10 minutes (or however long it takes) meditating. Simply observe your breath. Breathe in for a count of 4 to 5, allowing your belly and chest to expand, and breathe out for a count of 4 to 5, allowing everything to drop away. This will help get you into a good headspace before your feet touch the ground.
  4. Water with lemon – Before breakfast have a large glass of water with half a lemon squeezed into it. This will assist with digestion and is effective in body cleansing and detoxification. Follow this with a nutritious breakfast to kick-start your metabolism and fuel your body to face the day ahead.
  5. Set clear intentions for the day – You can intend to have a productive day and you can intend to have quality time with your family and friends with no distractions. You can intend to have a fun and brilliant day or you can intend to have a calm and peaceful day. Whatever it is just be clear about what it is you want your day to be.
  6. Exercise – Many people swear by early morning exercising. An early morning exercise routine does many things for your morning motivation. It gets your blood pumping, which is great for your health.
  7. Weekly goals – One way to get motivated in the morning, and for the rest of the week, is to set a weekly goal. Start the goal on Monday morning. Think of one thing you would like to accomplish during the week. Think of something that will make a change in your life to keep this practice motivationally appealing to you.
  8. Take a multivitamin – Taking a daily multivitamin is another step in helping your body to supplement essential nutrients when not getting enough through diet alone. Keep a multivitamin on the kitchen counter so you remember to take one every morning. Try Cenovis Once Daily Women’s Multi + Energy Boost or Cenovis Once Daily Men’s Multi + Performance.
  9. Cuddle your kids – Sit on their bed and gently smooth their hair as you softly waken them. Or, if you’re dealing with a very young child, lie beside them and gently hug them awake. Such a moment will send a quiet surge of joy through your entire day and will become all too rare in all too short a time.
  10. Time out – Spend 5 to 10 minutes each morning listening to music or sitting on the deck or porch just thinking. This allows the creative thinking that takes place during the night to gel and form into a plan of action, grounding you for the day.
